How do we keep the body healthy? Most people focus on their present diet, there are too many reports telling us to eat some healthy food will do the job, and some foods are carcinogenic risk. Most people think that to maintain health, one can rely on eating good food, as long as the food we eat can give us a healthy body. But we ignore the health of our body's meridians is smooth and has a great relationship. When the meridians is not working smooth and not functioning normal by delivering blood and nutrients to the body's organs and tissues, eating healthy will not help the body to deliver the nutrients to the organs. It would be a waste, so I think to maintain the health of the body we must: Make sure that the flow of the meridians of our human body are will maintain.

The structure of the human body is a perfect balance. Based on the theory of Chinese Medicine, our body organs are highly connected to the concept of the five elements. It best matches the operation and the changes of Mother Nature. Our body system not only contains the immune system that we are most familiar with, but also has the auto diagnostic system and the self healing system. Our immune system is mainly used to defend external viruses and toxic substances, and the self healing system repair all our body's damaged organ's, including surgical trauma, injured organs and tissues.
For instance, when our bones break, doctor would put a cast to immobilize the fracture. However, it is our self healing system that mends the broken bones. Doctor actually can't do much to help fix the fracture. As with the minor cuts and scrapes we get, as long as the bleeding stops (the ability to stop bleeding is a part of our body's self healing system), our body will automatically fix the damaged muscles and skin. We don't necessary need a doctors help. Even with obstructed meridian vessels and less amount of energy, with some rest, we'll feel better in a couple of days. If we think about it carefully, we'll notice that our body's self healing system is constantly working. Its effectiveness is highly connected to whether our meridian vessels are dredger or if we have enough healthy Qi and blood. Therefore, in order to maintain good health, it is critical to keep our fourteen major meridian vessels free of obstruction. Our body has five organs (the solid organs: Heart, Liver, Kidney, Lung and Spleen) and sis bowels (the hollow organs: Stomach, Big Intestine, Small Intestine, Gall Bladder, Bladder, and Triple Burner). Every organ has a meridian vessel connected to the outside tissues, plus the pericardium meridian, conception vessel and governor vessel, make a total 14 major meridian vessels.
